Biography

Hershel Bernstein B.Sc., D.D.S.
Dr. Hershel Bernstein has been placing and restoring dental implants since 1982, from his practice located on the West Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A graduate of the McGill University School of Dentistry (1958), he received his post-graduate training at the world-renowned Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Upon returning to Montreal, Dr. Bernstein opened his practice and began a 13-year term as a lecturer at McGill University, where he was a popular teacher and valued staff member. At McGill University he established and taught the program Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction: Diagnosis and Treatment.
Dr. Bernstein's memberships in professional organizations include:
- The Quebec Order Of Dentists
- The American Dental Association
- The Canadian Dental Association
- The American Academy of Implant Dentistry
Dr. Bernstein is an Associate Fellow of The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, one of the few Canadians to be so honored by this prestigious organization.
In 1984 Dr. Bernstein was honored with a Fellowship in the Academy of International Dental Studies.
A popular guest on the lecture circuit, Dr. Bernstein has spoken to many of the above groups as well as:
- the American Academy of Dental Group Practice
- the Jamaica Dental Association
- the Montreal Dental Club
- the post-graduate program at McGill University
His talks and clinics are always well attended and he is considered an expert in the field of dental implants. Montreal's most popular English language radio station, CJAD, has invited Dr. Bernstein on numerous occasions to talk about and answer listeners' questions on all aspects of dental implants.
Currently, Dr. Bernstein's practice is located in Kirkland Quebec, where he and his associates continue to serve the Montreal and West Island Communities.
